How we chose and checked these figures
- Primary sources first, each read on the publisher’s own page on 22 October 2026.
- Quoted as the source states them; never rounded, combined or extended. … marks words left out.
- A figure from before 2024 carries its year in brackets.
- Many surveys here were run by software companies about their own market; we name who ran each. Growfinch, the publisher of this page, makes a social media tool too.
- Left out until a person can read and date them on the original: figures seen only in search results, figures whose source shows no year, and figures known only through another paper.
