FOR AGENCIES
Social media management for small agencies
Growfinch is a social media management tool for agencies that runs every client as its own business in one console, with its own connected accounts, posting rules, queue and approvals. Your AI tools can draft and queue posts through the API and MCP, but for a client that needs sign-off, only a person in the console can approve.

What a social media management tool for agencies has to get right
An agency posts for many small businesses at once. In AgencyAnalytics’ survey of 494 agency professionals, “6% serve 1–5 clients, 25% serve 6–15, 20% serve 16–25, 17% serve 26–50, 18% serve 51–100, and 13% serve 101+” (2026 Marketing Agency Benchmarks Report, survey run February to April 2026).
With that many clients, the tool in the middle has four jobs:
- Keep each client’s accounts apart, so a post can’t leave from the wrong one.
- Keep sign-off in one place, not spread across email and chat.
- Show you a failed post or a lost connection, with the fix.
- Let AI draft while a person keeps the final say for clients who need sign-off.
Here is how Growfinch does each, and what isn’t built yet.
Every client in its own lane
In Growfinch, each client is a business in your workspace. A business has its own connected accounts, publishing policy, queues, approvals and results. Row-level security keeps each business’s data apart in the database, and an API key sees only the businesses it was made for.
A campaign belongs to one business and can only use that business’s connected accounts. A post written for a bakery can’t go out from a gym’s Instagram, because the gym’s accounts aren’t on the bakery’s list. When a campaign waits for approval, the approval lists the platform and handle of every post, so whoever approves sees exactly where each one will appear.
Each account connects through the platform’s own consent screen, with the permissions you grant there. Growfinch stores the access tokens encrypted (AES-256-GCM) and never shows them. For a new client, the client onboarding checklist lists the access to collect. If a post has already gone to the wrong place, read what to do after posting on the wrong account.
Approval that no tool can skip
For each client you choose the rule. Either every post waits for a person’s approval, or posts of a kind you name (a template class, such as a weekly tip) publish automatically within the rules you set.
Where a client requires approval, no API key, MCP client, scheduled job or AI agent can schedule the post. Only a person, in the console, can approve it. Approvals for every client sit in one Approvals queue, and if a post is headed for a weekly timetable, its approval names the slot it will land in. Reject it, and nothing goes out.
The steps, the checks and what machines can and can’t do are on the approval workflow page.
Know when a post fails
Scheduled posts sometimes fail, and the client may be the first to notice. On G2, the review summary for Hootsuite, as shown on 22 October 2026, counts 370 mentions of this theme: “Users face posting issues with Hootsuite, including limitations on photo uploads and unexpected posting failure…” (G2, Hootsuite pros and cons).
Growfinch retries a post that fails. If it still fails, it becomes an exception in Approvals with the way to fix it. When a platform connection expires, the account shows “needs reauthorization” and a Reconnect button. When a post goes out, its status and its link come back from the platform, so you can check it or pass it to the client.
Daily and weekly email reports for each business are planned; today you see failures in the console. For the usual causes and their fixes, read why a scheduled post didn’t post.
Let AI draft, keep the final say
Growfinch has a REST API and an MCP server, so the AI tools you already use can work on your clients’ businesses. Through MCP, an assistant such as Claude can read a business’s connections and results, create campaigns, add them to a queue, plan the queue and pause it: 21 tools in all. What it creates waits for a person unless the client’s rules allow automatic publishing for that kind of post. One tool is always refused: approve_campaign.
Each API key is made for specific businesses, with scopes, so a key for one client can’t touch another.
Growfinch’s own AI agents (Scout, Writer, Outreach and Analyst, shown on the home page) are planned; today your own tools do the drafting. Read more about the MCP server, the API and AI agents with human approval.
What Growfinch connects today
Growfinch publishes through each platform’s official API:
- YouTube: Shorts.
- Instagram: Reels and images, from professional accounts.
- X: posts with media, and a first reply.
- LinkedIn: posts as a member, next.
TikTok, Threads, Bluesky and LinkedIn company pages are planned. Once a day, Growfinch reads each published post’s views, likes and comments (and shares where the platform gives them) from YouTube, Instagram and X, kept per client.
What is planned for agencies
Planned, not built, and no dates set:
- Logins for clients and teammates that see only the businesses they work on, with roles per business.
- One-click approval of a week of queued posts.
- Daily and weekly email reports for each business.
- Growfinch’s own AI agents: Scout, Writer, Outreach and Analyst.
- TikTok, Threads, Bluesky and LinkedIn company pages.
Early access for agencies
Growfinch is in early access. Sign-in is by invitation, and we’re onboarding teams in small groups. Early access is free. There is no pricing yet; if paid plans come, members are told before any charge.
More sourced figures are on the social media statistics page, and the social media playbook collects what small brands and agencies did to grow.
Questions
Can my clients approve posts in Growfinch?
Not yet. Today a member of your workspace approves. Logins for clients, limited to their own business, are planned.
Do you charge per seat or per social profile?
There is no pricing yet. Early access is free, and if paid plans come, members are told before any charge.
Which platforms can I post to?
YouTube (Shorts), Instagram (Reels and images from professional accounts) and X (posts with media and a first reply). LinkedIn member posts are next; TikTok, Threads, Bluesky and LinkedIn company pages are planned.
Can an AI agent publish without me?
Not for a client whose rules require approval. An AI tool can draft and queue through the API or MCP, but approval is a person’s act in the console, and the MCP approval tool is always refused.
Is each client’s data kept separate?
Yes. Every business’s data is scoped to it in the database, and an API key or MCP client sees only the businesses it was made for.
What happens when a client’s account disconnects?
The connection shows “needs reauthorization” with a Reconnect button, and a post that fails because of it appears as an exception in Approvals.
